Neu! Reekie! Hit The Road

Posted by to The Blog on July 3rd

16 shows, 21 days, 28 (plus) artists

That’s the anywhere but the cities tour

Dewar’s, Neu! Reekie! & FOUND take to the road with some of their finest guests making appearances. Swapping stories for whisky and visiting faces and places, the whole affair will be captured for broadcast and beyond.

Dewar’s long association as philanthropist and supporter of the Scottish Arts is perhaps their best-kept secret. This summer they’ll be taking their new single malts on the road with casual bedfellows Neu! Reekie! & FOUND and calling upon the range of musicians, composers and melody makers they’ve worked with over the years, in what promises to be a lustre drenched meeting of brilliance.

Neu! Reekie! are entering their fifth year of arts programming, showcasing the best in Scottish poetry, animation and music fusions – seen as Scotland’s favourite avant-garde noisemakers (The Skinny) whilst delivering a wonderful world of cross cultural verve (The List) the troupe have recently taken to New York and Tokyo. Now they bring us #UntitledOne – their inaugural poetry anthology with double compilation album involving 52 of the most exciting artists the UK (and beyond) has to offer. Available from Polygon books.

FOUND have been creating inventive, thought provoking art & music in Scotland for almost a decade in a career that has taken them to China, India, America & beyond. National Museums of Scotland recently acquired their BAFTA award winning sound installation Cybraphon and 2015 will see the release of their eagerly awaited 4th album, as well as a compilation of some of the rare records they like to play at their regular club night Moon Hop.
