Advance warning of this year’s Shenanigans!

This year’s extravaganza hits Leith on Saturday 8th and draws to an end on Sunday 16th June with our now traditional Leith Festival Tattoo held on the Shore.

Leith Festival Pageant/Parade will make its way down the famous Leith Walk to Leith Links on Saturday 8th June from 12 noon to join the celebrations already on the Links….bringing together performers and locals alike and keeping up a tradition which stems back to 1907

Leith Festival Gala Day takes place on Saturday 8th June, from 11am, with an expected turnout of around 10,000. Gala Day is traditionally a community event that has grown to becoming a crucial part of the Leith Festival; celebrating some of what the community of Leith has to offer and promises to be a day full of multi-cultural arts….not forgetting Taylor’s fun fair.

This year there will also be a street launch at the Fit O’ the Walk in the Kirkgate Shopping Centre on Friday 7th June between 6pm and 8pm where you can sample and enjoy some of the different events taking place during the Festival itself.

Leith Festival needs volunteers to help make the event the success it is. They are looking for volunteers to get involved with the pre-planning as well as during the 10 days in June. For further information on how to become a volunteer, email: office@leithfestival.com

Leith Festival always enjoys showcasing home grown and new artistic and musical talent, local theatre and dance groups. So if you want take part in, what is now becoming one of the fastest growing festivals around, then, get in touch either by email or online;
