Such &Such: Full Stop

Such and Such present:

Full Stop the final exhibition at their Brunswick Street address.

The show will be a mini retrospective of artists who have exhibited in the space and aims to be a celebration of the diversity and quality of work previously shown. We think it will be a pretty exciting selection, bringing together painting, illustration, sculpture, printmaking, jewellery and textile design.

Those exhibiting include painters Alex Gibbs, Rabiya Choudhry and Callum Monteith, illustrators Jamie Johnson and Al White and printmaker Rachel Barron. We will also be showing unseen work by sculptor Jessica Harrison and photography by Ross Fraser Mclean and Ben Seeley. Additionally, there will be contributions from Edinburgh pop-up art collective Go Reborn as well as fashion designer Judith Clark, who was recently nominated for the Designer of the Year award at the Scottish Style Awards 2011.

Such and Such opened in July 2010 as an independent artist run space, and has since hosted a diverse range of exhibitions, workshops and pop up events, whilst maintaining a strong DIY ethic. Co-founded by Alexandra Fiddes, Caroline Cloughley, Charlotte Hannett and David Lemm, the idea was to combine resources to provide better studio space and a platform for local artists to exhibit, and was one of the first spaces of its kind to open in the now vibrant Leith Walk art scene.

Although closing the space, Such and Such will be continuing as a collaboration between Fiddes, Cloughley and Lemm with the trio planning to relaunch with a new project later in 2012. Please do check for updates over the coming months.
