We Are Hibernian: The Fans’ Story pays homage to voices from the terraces, lovers of the game and what it means to be a true ‘Hibee’. The book illuminates the sights and sounds that have come to represent the spirit of the game and includes tales from high profile supporters such as Irvine Welsh, Dougray Scott, The Proclaimers and Dick Gaughan. Full of witty stories and football philosophies, We are Hibernian is sure to keep all fans of the beautiful game entertained.

About the Author:

Andy MacVannan was born in 1970 and was brought up in Edinburgh. After leaving school in 1988 Andy continued his interest in all things musical and started a music fanzine, The Incredible Shrinking Fanzine. This ran for 10 issues and allowed him to explore the written word. Enchanted by stories of Hibernian told to him by his father, Andy MacVannan experienced his first Hibs game at the age of ten in 1980. Hooked on the phenomenon of football, he became an avid supporter of the Hibees; regularly at- tending matches both home and away.
