Leith Community Theatre returns with its brand new pantomime…

Snow White and The Seven Leithers

A story of magic mirrors, silly court jesters, evil queens, a dashing prince and a silly nurse… While Snow White is banished to the forest by her aunt, the evil queen, she encounters and befriends the seven Leithers. This is a fun filled show with music from the 70s, set in the mystical land of Leithuania

Yes indeedy folks, LOOK BEHIND YOU! This year’s Leith Community Theatre pantomime Snow White and the Seven Leithers opens on December 19th at South Leith Parish Church Halls and runs to the 23rd (Please note no show 21st) December with a matinee performance on the 23rd written by Tony Delicata.

The production hopes to build on the success of last year’s pantomime A Lad in Leith for the fledgling community theatre group and LCT’s recent comedy plays performed at the Leith Festival.

LCT are hoping too, that this year’s panto will attract even more interest from people in the community who’d like to get involved. “You don’t need any experience, you just need a sense of humour and a bit of commitment,” said Des Linton this year’s Chair of LCT and wannabe actor.

“Leith Community Theatre have enjoyed massive support from so many local people, businesses’ and institutions but, as a voluntary organisation, they are always on the lookout for fresh ideas to help support the group’s aim of the productions becoming a regular event in Leith”.

This year’s production has seen the return of Leith Acorn Group and new to helping out are North Edinburgh Community Arts, who will produce the props and set to be used in the show.

Snow White and The Seven Leithers runs from 19th – 23rd December with a matinee performance

on the 23rd. Tickets will be available from the venue, South Leith Parish Church Halls or from Mollies Play Centre in Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre.
