Here comes the summer and issue 77…herein the late lamented Gil Scott Heron, the eloquence of Bill Ryder Jones, an overview of the recent Film Festival, dispatches from London, El Presidente wee Eck and (loads) on the Independence issue. In other news the Editor flatters to deceive, The Cellar Door is heartily recommended (as is, ahem, naked running), SlutWalking and Ken Clarke, dreadful film sequels, oh, and film censorship. Finally, for those whose default mechanism is concern…Moncur the Monkey is force fed German bean sprouts. All good things! How could I have forgotten the wondrous Wu Lyf?
And Pen Portraits, poor old Pen Portraits, of course, including food review of a prestige deli.
