Works by Lachlann Rattary @ SUPERCLUB

Exhibition runs 12/03/11 – 25/04/11

SUPERCLUB open Thursday/Sunday 12 – 6pm

As its debut exhibition SUPERCLUB is proud to present Stealth Cowboy, an exhibition of works by Glasgow based artist Lachlann Rattray.

Rattray’s work is an absurdist assemblage of trash culture and rudimentary internet aesthetics covering subjects as diverse as bodybuilding, heavy metal, star trek and Satanism. His practice involves the making of music and imagery under a variety of monikers (Spew Barrymore, Holy Wow, Dreamguts and Yoko, Oh No!), culminating in the creation of an all-encompassing ‘mucus’ of madcap totems and distorted populist paradigms.

Stealth Cowboy presents a range of works spanning this output including a selection of enlarged prints, hand-made t-shirts, video works and recent zines.

Rattray has exhibited throughout the UK, Europe and North America and his animations have been nominated for a variety of awards.  The exhibition will be accompanied by a publication presenting new work by Rattray, released by SUPERCLUB and the artist.
